REMI KANJI is a third year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Asia-Pacific Studies and International Relations at the University of Toronto. Her previous studies include two years of a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management at Carleton University.

Her primary academic interests are development policy and public health. As a result of her interest in development, she spent last summer in Indonesia doing an Anthropology field school, studying the relationship between local independent fashion and economic development. Following her field research, she worked for Mercy Corps Indonesia, helping prepare research on urban development for publication. This summer she will return to Indonesia, both to study the language and to do field research in West Kalimantan, near Borneo.

Following her graduation, she plans to pursue further education and travel.
